Spotlighting Russ, 28 years in the moving industry and Counting
Russ is a seasoned professional who has twenty-eight years of experience within the moving industry under his belt. For the past three of these years, Russ has been working at Siracusa Moving & Storage where he brings great experience and passion to everything he does. Throughout his time in the industry, Russ has been exposed to some unique experience and has the type of knowledge that only comes from years of experience.
No Two Day’s are the Same
When asked what he likes most about his job, Russ states “There is never a dull moment. Each day brings its own set of challenges and adventures, and there is never two days that are exactly alike. You see some crazy things, and it keeps each day exciting and new”
Unforgettable Moments on the Job
What is your favorite story of a relocation that you did? With no hesitation Russ says “When I had the opportunity to move the George W. Bush Presidential Library into Southern Methodist University (SMU). I had to move all artifacts and memorabilia from the presidency
into the library, along with creating a recreation of the oval office. Everything had to look exactly as it did in the oval office, even down to exact inch measurements.” After recreating the oval office, Russ had the opportunity to meet President Bush and show him around the finished library. This unique experience is one that Russ will never forget, and is a monumental experience in his time in the moving industry.
Time at Siracusa
When asked what is your favorite part about working for Siracusa, Russ doesn’t hesitate when saying “The Owner, Dan Siracusa, is fantastic and the experienced dispatch is great. Siracusa is the only place I have worked for that I’ve never been lied to, regardless of it’s the answer you want, they will always tell you the truth; they have lots of integrity.”
Outside of the Job
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? “Hands-down hanging out with family” Russ answers. “Time with family is precious and very valuable to me, and being around them means the world to me.” Family is a key value to Russ, and he truly enjoys every moment he gets to spend with them.
Before your Mover arrives
When asked what Russ would like his customers to know before he shows up to begin their move, he states “Just sit back and relax. Enjoy the process and never be afraid to speak up and ask questions.”
